Wine barrell stave cribbage board...

From LumberJocks.com:

"I made this for my brother for a Christmas gift. He plays cribbage and I thought it would be fun. I found a paper pattern on the internet, printed it out, taped it to the barrel stave and started drilling free hand with my drill press. Needless to say, there is a reason they make templates for this job. It took me several tries and it still did not come out perfect. I used a Sharpey fine point to draw in the numbers and track. I finished it with polyurethane. I made the game pieces from pop-rivets..."

Christmas cribbage...

Greetings from Ilene in Vernonia: Our Story

From Ilene in Vernonia:

"...We tried to play cards by candlelight in the evening. Stewart and Mike are a team against Stacey and me in cribbage. At nine o'clock Christmas eve we went to bed to get warm.

Christmas morning Stewart suggested we get a motel in Hillsboro. We all headed out of town for Christmas morning breakfast at Sheree's. We had a wonderful breakfast and Stewart and Stacey went to get a motel. They called us when they were settled and we went to their motel and continued our cribbage tournament. I believe we are all tied up..."

Crash Cribbage makes an early pre-Christmas appearance!

I just got done playing about a dozen games of Crash Cribbage online at eCribbage.com. It's free to play (as I have mentioned before) and although there are still a few bugs being worked out it is a blast to play! I encourage everyone to go to eCribbage and then come here and leave me some feedback!

Cheers, and Happy Pegging!

P.S. There is still time to order your Crash Cribbagee board for Christmas! Click on the link to the left of this page or type in www.crashcribbage.com.

Xmas handmade cribbage...

From The Casingers:

"So, one year when we were young, the adults decided that all of the adults would make their gift for the person that they drew. There was no price limit on what you could spend, and the only stipulation was that it didn't matter what you made, but it had to be MADE, not bought. The kids skirted out of this one, seeing as kids are kids, and they like toys and it would have been boring to get a wood box with your name on it. I must say, though, these gifts were very creative. The one that stands out in my mind was the one that my Dad got from my Uncle Myles. My dad loved to play games (which is probably where I get it from!), and he loved to play Cribbage (I'm fond of the game myself!). Anyhow, my Uncle Myles made my father a cribbage board, a homemade cribbage board! The kicker? It was made out of a wood toilet seat! It was great!..."

Blog o cribbage player...

From Blog o Blog o Blog:

"This past Christmas Jenny’s (ma gurrlfriend’s) mom got me a gorgeous hand-carved wooden cribbage board. It came in its own specialty carrying case with different coloured wooden pegs, and has a compartment inside of it with enough room for two decks of cards, the game pieces, and a pen - if need be.

I was a big fan of the game before Christmas, but Mrs. Andrews had no way of knowing that, she just knows that I love any sort of game no matter what type, and just happened to find this fantastic crib board at a local art sale. It was impossible for her to have known the immediate and massive impact the game would have on my spare time, especially during the next semester of school."
